Activities

The Regional Universities Network engages in a range of activities to achieve its objectives. The Network:

  • Develops policy papers and government submissions across a range of policy areas of relevance to tertiary education, research and regional development
  • Liaises with Ministers and Ministerial Advisors, Members of Parliament and Senators and senior Government officials to provide advice on government policy
  • Conducts regular meetings of executive and senior staff of the member universities
  • Promotes the contributions of member universities to regional and national development
  • Hosts Network Forums on specific topics of interest to share policy and practice
  • Undertakes joint projects to advance the educational, research and management outcomes of the member universities
